Michael J. Torsiello, MD
Michael J. Torsiello, MD, Chair of the Taksha Center for Wound Healing (TCWH), has specialized in catastrophic wound care and hand surgery for thirty-eight years. He has a private practice in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Hand and Microsurgery, Wound Care, and Pneumatic Medicine in New Jersey, US, and, from June 2009 to March 2012, was Director of the Hawthorne Wound Healing Institute.
He has published works and received recognition for his work on circulation and wound care, particularly with laminitis. Dr. Torsiello’s primary aim is to improve quality of life; that, and his avid interest in and love for animals, particularly horses, led him to develop and patent a device to prevent and treat equine laminitis.
